BEEF LIVERS,

DESCRIPTION: Inedible livers are those which have been condemned for reasons other than an open abcess. After they have been slashed by an inspector, the bile sac is removed and the liver is sent to the packaging area for inedibles. No fat is trimmed from inedible livers. The yield for inedible livers is 1.36 pounds per 1000 pounds of live weight.
PACKAGING: Inedible livers are lightly denatured with liquid charcoal and packed in sixty pound boxes which measure 21-1/2" x 16" x
6"' and are approved for use with inedible products. The carton should be labeled "Inedible Beef Liver" and the carton top should be strapped securely in place.
CUSTOMER BASE: Used by pet food manufacturers throughout the United States.
CUSTOMER UTILIZATION: Used as an ingredient in canned pet foods.
